FAQs

Q: What is your mission?

A: We are building the largest parent-led community where they can find support, resources, and partnership.

Q: How are you accomplishing this?

A: We’re creating an app that connects parents from all over the country. Here, parents can find others who share their interests and exchange resources like childcare, transportation, housing, and more. It’s a place where parents can easily work together and build villages of support for one another.

Q: What populations do you serve?

A: We are here for parents! We warmly welcome single or partnered moms and dads, grandparents, military spouses with deployed partners, and any family looking for their village. Join us to connect with like-minded parents and find the community you’re looking for.

Q: Can you give examples of the types of help people might expect to receive?

A: We connect parents so they can share resources such as childcare or housing. Parents can negotiate these things directly with each other.  Our app offers a library of local information for urgent needs and growth opportunities. We also have an online community where parents can learn about local family events and organize group gatherings.

Q: Is your app free?

A: Yes! Anyone can use the app for free. We have ads to help cover costs, and there are premium features for those who want to upgrade. When you buy a premium membership, part of your fee helps others who can’t afford it, ensuring everyone can keep using our services.

Q: What can parents expect from using the app?

A: When parents engage in resource sharing, they save time and money. This reduction in stress has a positive effect on the family, and children are happier. With extra time and money, new opportunities for work and education become possible.

Q: What are some safeguards you have for parents who want to meet other parents?

A: First, we suggest parents use good judgment when meeting others. It’s a good idea to meet in public places and during daylight hours.

Second, we’re partnering with Chekr so parents can get their profiles verified through a criminal background check. Once verified, you’ll see a Verified Checkmark by their name. Not everyone will choose to use this feature, possibly due to cost or other reasons. So, always take the time to ask someone about themselves, even if they have a verification checkmark.

Q: Can anyone join?

A: Our network is designed especially for parents or those expecting. While non-parents can join, they might not find it as useful. Unlike larger social networks, our platform is created by parents, for parents, to support and connect with each other.

Q: What does it mean to be a “Family Preservation Organization?”

A: Recognizing the challenging circumstances that can lead to family separation, our organization strives to facilitate resource sharing among families in need. Our goal is to help children remain with their parents by uplifting families out of crisis situations which will set them on a path toward a better future.

Q: How did you get started?

A: We understand that too often, children are taken from struggling families instead of helping parents overcome their challenges. This causes deep, lasting trauma for both children and parents. We aim to keep families together by creating a community where parents support each other. Parents Partnership was created to help parents help each other, leading to happier families. Together, we thrive.

Q: Who is your team?

A: Jenny Trudeau, along with Megan Brown and Alma Lacefield, founded Parents Partnership as a 501(c)(3) charity in 2023. Jason Houston, of Complete Web, and Keith Fletcher, of Waddy Fletch, joined soon after to develop our app and brand. With diverse personal backgrounds, including adoption experiences, fostering and single parenthood, our team is uniquely equipped to develop solutions that aid struggling families.

Q: What is in the future for Parents Partnership?

A: We’re super excited to grow our network with awesome community events all over the country! Think game nights, swap meets, fun activities for kids, and even summer camps, all organized by leaders in different states. Plus, we’re exploring ways for parents to team up globally and create supportive communities worldwide. We’re aiming to be the go-to destination for parents everywhere, offering support, resources, and amazing partnerships!
