Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated Social Media Intern to join our team and help us elevate our online presence across multiple platforms. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the nonprofit sector, with the freedom to develop and implement your own social media strategy.
Responsibilities
- Analyze current social media platforms (Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn) and provide actionable insights.
- Develop and implement a strategic plan to increase engagement, followers, and brand awareness.
- Launch and manage our YouTube channel, creating content and growing subscribers.
- Create and schedule engaging content, including posts, videos, and stories, tailored to each platform.
- Monitor social media trends and adapt strategies to align with the latest best practices.
- Track and report on social media performance using analytics tools.
- Collaborate with team members to align social media efforts with organizational goals.
- Attend board meetings, events, and media interviews to gain a comprehensive understanding of our organization and contribute to our public image.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Passionate about social media and digital marketing.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, particularly Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate engaging content.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Basic knowledge of social media analytics and tools.
- Experience with video editing or graphic design software is a plus, but not required.
