Celebrating a Year of Growth, Gratitude, and Community Impact

As we look back on our first year at Parents Partnership, we are filled with immense pride and gratitude for everything we’ve accomplished together. From the moment we officially incorporated on October 17th, we hit the ground running, and just ten days after applying, we received our 501(c)(3) status—a monumental achievement that marked the start of an exciting journey. Since then, we’ve had the privilege of working hand-in-hand with a community that has wholeheartedly embraced our mission to support struggling single parents. This first year has been nothing short of incredible, and we’re excited to share some of our most significant milestones with you.

One of the highlights of this past year has been our successful fundraising efforts, which have brought in nearly $30,000 in just nine months! These funds have been pivotal in helping us extend our reach and support to families in need. We’ve had the joy of organizing various events that not only raised money but also brought our community together. Our first major fundraiser was an overwhelming success, featuring food trucks, music from 103.9 La Raza, games, and sponsors who contributed to a day filled with fun, laughter, and generosity. And the best part? The sun was shining, the weather was perfect, and the community’s energy was infectious.

Beyond fundraising, our community give-back projects have been a true testament to the power of collective effort. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we’ve been able to distribute thousands of dollars’ worth of donated clothing to families with babies and young children. These initiatives have been close to our hearts, as we know the relief that comes from receiving essential items when resources are tight. We’re also incredibly thankful for the larger donations we’ve received, including contributions from the SC Stingrays and a matching donation from Modern Woodmen of America. Their support, along with contributions from numerous businesses and individuals, has propelled us forward and allowed us to make a real impact.

Our mission goes beyond providing immediate relief—we’re working to create lasting connections and partnerships that help single parents thrive. Over the past year, we’ve built relationships with organizations that share our vision, allowing us to connect the parents in our network with valuable local resources. These collaborations have been instrumental in extending our reach and ensuring that our families receive the help they need. We are constantly working to expand this network, adding new partners across different states so that we can offer even more support to those who need it most.

As we move into our second year, we are eagerly planning for the future. With two major fundraisers already on the horizon for next year—one in May and our second annual cornhole tournament in September—we know that there are even more exciting opportunities to come. We also have a few special events lined up for the remainder of this year, including our anniversary dinner celebration and Giving Tuesday. But none of this would be possible without the incredible support of our community. To our volunteers, sponsors, and every person who has shown up for us this year—we are so grateful. Our philosophy at Parents Partnership is simple: we are stronger together. This year has proven that time and time again. We couldn’t do any of this without you, our village.

Thank you for making this first year so memorable. Here’s to many more years of growth, collaboration, and community impact!
