Our clothing giveaway was a great success! We had so many people donate thousands of dollars worth of maternity, babies, kids, and even adult sizes – perfect for growing teens! We had breastfeeding supplies, linens, and shoes and shoes and shoes! We were able to give this to local families who were in need, to ease that burden for them from having to buy baby clothing that they’re just going to outgrow far too quickly. We are so grateful to Servpro of Greater North Charleston and Dorchester County for sponsoring us and hosting this event. We definitely couldn’t have pulled this off without them, and are excited about how we will collaborate in the future to serve families in need.
People were surprised to learn that we aren’t just another charity for kids – we are a charity for parents. It’s the parents who get forgotten. It’s the person who turns “adult” and the world thinks you should just be grown now, and your sympathy for your youth ends. And it gets lonely and real, very quickly. We know this. We are the same as you. That’s why we are here for you, and we are like no one else. We are so pleased to be able to share this load with other families, and we are filled with so much joy, being able to partner with parents to raise happy kids. Together, we thrive!
