Expanding Our Impact: Clothing & Essentials Support for Students in Need

We are thrilled to announce that Parents Partnership will now serve as a dedicated clothing and essentials collection hub for children and families who are struggling. Over the past few months, we have established direct relationships with recipients who truly need support, and we are excited to work closely with Simmons Pinckney Middle School, where many students are in urgent need of shoes, clothing, and personal hygiene products — including feminine care items. These kids are often overlooked and forgotten, but they are deeply grateful for every act of generosity, and the administration and staff love these students fiercely. We are honored to partner with them.

We are also working toward a partnership with a local hospital to help collect hygiene items that families cannot access consistently. Having the ability to meet these basic needs can dramatically reduce stress for families who are already stretched beyond their limits. When children have clean clothing, proper shoes, and the dignity that comes from basic care, it changes their confidence, their academic ability, and their emotional well-being. It matters.

To make this possible, we are looking for volunteers willing to serve as neighborhood drop-off locations for clothing and essential items. We will supply a collection bin and arrange regular pickup, so it requires very little time commitment — just a heart for helping. This is a simple but powerful way to bring real support right into our communities, and we cannot do it without people stepping up to join us.

Beyond meeting physical needs, this project opens the door for deeper support. Through ongoing connection with these families, we hope to provide mentorship opportunities, financial literacy training, parenting classes, religious encouragement, and more, so that families can grow stronger and more stable long-term. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for how God continues to open doors and allow us to serve. The more we grow, the more families we can protect, support, and empower — and we are just getting started.
