24/7 emergency youth shelter for teens aged 12-18 (“The Door”).
• Meals, safe shelter, hygiene, clothing, educational & vocational support, referrals.
• Drop-in services: for youth needing immediate assistance (meals, clothing, family mediation, support etc.)
• Accredited counseling for individuals & families via Keystone Counseling Center.
| Eligibility (who can be served) | • Youth aged 12-18 for the shelter (“The Door”). • All youth regardless of race, color, creed, disability, national origin, gender identity/expression, religion. • Counseling services are also available to families, at-risk youth. |
| Hours / Availability | • The Door (shelter) is 24/7 for youth in need. • Office (counseling / drop-in) typical business hours (Mon-Fri ~9am-4pm) for the administrative/counseling office. |
| How to Access / Become a Client | • For immediate shelter: youth aged 12-18 can come to The Door at 138 10th Ave. • For counseling: contact Keystone Counseling Center (through Fairbanks Youth Advocates) at their counseling office. • There is no indication of needing insurance; services are provided independent of many identity or background attributes. |
